ePassporte is an Internet wallet
option that is similar to Neteller
and many other online wallets. Users
fund their accounts by sending money
to it via their credit card or bank
accounts and it has previously
allowed users to use it to fund
their online casino accounts and
poker rooms.
At one point in time
ePassporte was opened to
American players, but on April 12,
2008, ePassporte closed their doors
not only to American online casino
players, but to ALL members who were
using it to fund their online gaming
accounts. According to the press
releases from the company, they
decided to ban all transactions
across the board that was tied to
online gambling sites.
However, ePassporte accounts can
still be used for Internet merchants
and purchases that are not casino or
poker related. Anywhere that Visa is
accepted will take payments from
ePassporte. As long as you have an
active e-mail address, users can
received and send funds in real time
to any other ePassporte user with no
charge. Money in your ePassporte
account can also be transferred back
to your banking account or credit
card.
Currently there are no online
casino sites that accept ePassporte.
Players with existing accounts can
still withdraw their money from the
accounts but new accounts are not
being accepted.
